Summer Vacation 2013, RVing

Summer 2013 Vacation

If you've missed the Holbrooks...we are rving...now coming from someone who's camping experience equals playing army in a popup dinosaur tent...I did not and still do not know what to expect..! Finding myself 36 hours into this way of life...things I've learned so far.
1.  for those of you who do NOT like to exercise..Find yourself an RV with a bedroom at the rear.   lay down ..ride for 13-14 hours and let the movement literally throw you from side to side and up and down well, you get the picture...I can tell my thighs are smaller already!

2.  If you spend lots of time, before the trip, planning easy, short, tasty meals to cook in the crockpot....don't forget to take your crockpot..

3.  When using the toliet going down the road, while this thing is moving..in the words of my grandson and with all sincerity..."Be safe, Doll."

4.  If you encounter a tunnel on the highway..not only allow for  vehicle clearance...please remember you have a satellite dish and a ladder on top...by the way if you coming thru Virginia and find a pretty big piece of an RV ladder near a tunnel ..return to the Hightowers....

5.  If you stay at an RV Park that has lots of trees and it says on their webpage satellite does not always work...they're right!

Until tomorrow....my family  going into see Boston Red Sox play Arizona and have VIP tickets for the field..Me and the dog  (Mickey) will  continue to explore and learn about this thing called RVing...Be back tomorrow with 5 more things we've learned or experienced..Til then..good night from the rving flamingo...
